Ravi's Birthday!

Ravi's 6th birthday was on April 23rd!

Here he is opening presents.

He even got a Bibleman sword (which can light up, vibrate, and say "The Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God!")!

He was kind of excited after the sword!

For his birthday we went to Lemon Lake Park. It has the biggest park I had ever seen! But we also just like the nature part of it. A couple years ago we had come here and found some baby tad-poles and a frog! We kept them for about a three weeks, but then they were too hard to take care of so we gave them away.

Ravi is a good and hard worker (especially, when it comes to using tools!). He does most things with a good attitude as well. Ravi just loves animals, trucks, and everything else that goes outside. He says he wants to grow up to work at the Shedd Aquarium or the Zoo and take care of animals.

I pray many blessings and a long life upon him!

"The Passion of The Christ"

This year right before Easter, my parents, me, and my sister all watched 'The Passion of the Christ' produced by Mel Gibson.I thought it was very good! And when I had time to think more about it I was like "WOW, he did that for me?! He went through getting condemned of doing crimes he and others knew he didn't do, having to get whipped with a "Cat of Nine Tails" (which is a whip with nine leather straps on it with all nine straps full of sharp pieces of metal, broken glass, or small sharp rocks) with his skin ripping off his back and chest every time they whipped him (which was thirty-nine times), getting huge thorns pressed on his head, having to carry a cross (probably, as big as a tree) up a steep, rocky mountain getting whipped whenever he stopped, and then having three nails (I heard were placed right in a certain vain that burst in your chest!) placed in him, with a thief that was yelling at him, all because of ME!!"

I always knew that, but when you look deeper into what they did to people who were going to be crucified, it's a lot more then it what it seems! The Christ, the innocent Lamb of God, went though all that for us sinful people who do sin how many times a day!

Since he did all that for us, how much more should we be trying to do our best for him? Let me ask you again, are you willing and ready to take up your cross and follow him?

Mary Magdalene

Satan looks alluring and tempting but, in reality he is disgusting!

(These are all pictures from the film.)

This film really shows what he went through and has had a powerful impact on me, my family, and everyone I know who has seen it! I would recommend this film to anyone.

Easter Eggs

A couple days before Easter, we were able to dye almost two dozen eggs for the Easter egg hunt we had at our house. And the younger children had stickers, which were all about the death and resurrection of Jesus, that they got to put on the eggs, later.

This was Joshy's first time being able to do it on his own. (Looks like he enjoyed it!)

Ravi was concentrating really hard, here!

Joy was dyeing her eggs her favorite colour, pink.

Don't drop the egg!

Here are the finished eggs!

Dad's Birthday!

Dad's 35th birthday was on March 29th!

He says he feels very old! I wonder how he'll feel when he's 45?(And no, my dad didn't grill yet, this is a picture from last year.)

This is the "tres leches"(means 'three milk'- in Spanish) cake, before we ate it...

...this is the cake after we eat it. (Now all the frosting is gone!)

Here, he is opening presents we (the kids) bought at the dollar store or made for him.

The Homeschooling Room (So Far)

For about the last three weeks, my dad has been working on our basement (pretty much from scratch) making a "homeschooling room". So on all his days off, besides Sunday, he's been working on it. A couple of guys also came and helped him out. Stephen and Ravi go downstairs and help him whenever they get a chance! I know he can't wait until all five of his sons grow up and are able to help him alot more!

Here are some pictures of his 'two-feet and under' helpers...

Ravi is always at my dads heels!

The girls also help whenever they get a chance! (Kind of looks like their arrested, doesn't it?)

Here, they're helping to hold up some drywall for him.(Keep looking for the next post about the room!)
